Une des vocations premières de la Société Française de Rhumatologie (S.F.R.) est de soutenir la recherche sur les maladies ostéo-articulaires sous toutes ses formes.

Cette volonté se manifeste par un engagement financier majeur sous diverses formes auprès de jeunes chercheurs, de laboratoires et de services cliniques. La SFR attribue ainsi des bourses et des subventions permettant la réalisation de nombreux projets scientifiques.
